The Aesculap Aeos® digital surgical microscope provides ergonomic working conditions as well as a remarkable imaging quality for neurosurgeons.
NMY developed an augmented reality supported iPad sales app, that was used to communicate the microscope's key benefits. I worked on the project as the team's lead designer.

The Aesculap Aeos® robotic-assisted digital surgical microscope helps neurosurgeons to see better and work more comfortably. To convey the microscope's benefits in an engaging and modern way, the app allows B. Braun's sales staff to present the product in two different modes. In the touch-based discovery mode, the microscope's components can be explored in real-time 3D and seven key features are explained in simplified interactive simulations. The AR enhanced experience mode allows the microscope to be placed as a virtual object in the real world and helps to get an idea of it's real-life size.
The microscope's innovative key features were translated into simplified interactive simulations, that offer a comparison to current marked-standard counterparts of competitor products.
The augmented reality mode allows in-depth exploration of the microscope's components and product design. It comes in handy to grasp the product's actual dimensions, for example when presented in a real-life hospital environment.
